I have hundreds of nail polish bottles but very few pop, summery colors - I prefer dark colors that contrast with my pale hands skin and that I find more chic : burgundy, navy blue, dark green, dark grey, chocolate brown... Still, I sometimes love some vivid shades so much that I buy them on the spot - this weakness for cosmetics is what's allowing me to share a small selection of nail lacquers I don't wear often when it's not bright and sunny but that I'll probably wear all summer long.
ORLY - Ancient Jade
Ancient Jade is my favorite out of the four, a pastel mint color I love to match with white clothes. It's a soft, feminine color that I could definitely use in a geometric black and white stamping nail art (I should totally try that).
ORLY - Teal Unreal
The first time I saw Orly's Teal Unreal, I fell in love - the color is more accurate on the nail pictures than on the bottle pictures. It's a real good teal, not just any turquoise like the bottle might suggest. Despite the small brush of Orly nail polishes, it's really easy to apply and fast-drying (and its 18 mL is appreciated !).
PIERRE RENE PROFESSIONAL - Sunny
This is perfectly named. Sunny is a bright yellow Pierre René Professional polish that reminds me of the beach and that's opaque in two, three coats. I just feel great when I see this color, I'm just afraid of attracting insects because of how vivid it is.
ESSIE - Haute in the heat
Haute in the heat was part of the Summer 2014 collection but it's still in my faves for 2016 : its pop color puts me in a good mood, its brush is really large and easy to use and it's really fast drying. Everything's great about it - I'd love to try out their new Gel Couture nail polishes too.
I'm crazy about all four of these nail polishes with their bright and beautiful colors - I always know what clothes I'm going to match them with - or not match them with, a matching outfit/manicure is so has been. What is your favorite nail polish in this selection and what is your favorite nail polish for the summer ? Tell me everything !
